Tonight, when you’re decked out in PJs ~~ but hopefully accessorized with your favorite tiara ~~ here’s what to drink: the award-winning (yes, they had a contest) Moet Red Carpet Glamour Cocktail!
This lovely gem of a drink will be served as the official cocktail of the official Oscars after party, the Governors Ball. Enjoy!
Recipe by Adam Seger
Makes: 1 cocktail
Total Time: Under 5 minutes plus time to prep sour mix
Hands-On Time: Under 5 minutes
For the Fresh Sour Mix:
Make a syrup by stirring together 1 1/2 cups sugar with 1 cup hot water until sugar is completely dissolved. Add 1 cup fresh-squeezed lime juice and 1 cup fresh-squeezed lemon juice and refrigerate. (Can be prepared up to 1 day ahead. Syrup may be substituted with 1 pint agave nectar.)
For one cocktail:
Fill a chilled champagne flute half way with ice to chill. Stir 1 ounce of Fresh Squeezed Sour Mix and 1 ounce of Hum Botanical Spirit with fresh ice.
Strain mixture into the flute to fill 1/2 way and top with Moet & Chandon Imperial Brut Reserve. Garnish with a single rose petal and serve.
Yeah, so if you don’t have all this stuff on hand, pour yourself a glass of wine and sit back and relax. Oh, and reportedly — and I can’t really believe this — the presenters’ gift bags this year contain $167K worth of goodies! So go ahead and stuff yours, you deserve it!
